At this site, you will find a wealth of resources and assistance for small and mid-sized cultural institutions provided free of charge by the Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Please note that you may use this site, search for resources, listen to past webinars, and participate in current webinars simply by signing up for the particular webinar you are interested in. You will find the sign-up link in the announcement for each upcoming webinar. However, if you want to participate in the DISCUSSIONS, you need to register and get a password. Registration is quick and easy.
The ABOUT US tab will give you some background about the Connecting to Collections Care (C2C Care) program and its predecessor program, Connecting to Collections (C2C).
CALENDAR is the place to look for upcoming events both within the C2C Care Community and outside the Community.
RESOURCES provides access to a library of information on a variety of collections care topics, previous discussions and webinars, as well as links to organizations that can assist you with collections care and funding. Use the search function on this page to find what you are looking for quickly or browse the topics listings in the library.
DISCUSSIONS is where you have the opportunity to ask the C2C Care Community about caring for your collections and find trusted answers from experts and other members of the community. There are Conservator Monitors watching to make sure that your questions are answered in a timely manner. To participate in this portion of the website, you need to be a registered member with a password.
The MEETING ROOM will allow you to participate in Webinar-style question and answer sessions, presentations, courses, and online chats. Check the events calendar for other upcoming Meeting Room events. Recordings of previous webinars and courses are available in ARCHIVES.
In the ARCHIVES, you’ll find recordings of all previous webinars and courses from both Connecting to Collections Care and from our predecessor, Connecting to Collections. If you are looking for the C2C forums that occurred between 2012 and 2014, you will find a link to those legacy forums in the ARCHIVES. Use the Google Custom Search function found in the upper part of the right-hand column on most pages to quickly find relevant materials from both the C2C Care and the C2C programs.
Under the HELP tab, you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about using this site.
If you have any questions, problems, or just want to let us know what you think or make a suggestion, please use the form under CONTACT tab and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
