      Does anyone know what this is or what it would be used for? Another local museum sent this picture to me for identification, but I have no idea what it could be! Thanks!

      Hi there, it looks like the bottom of a butter churn cradle to me. A churn box would have sat on top of the wires and it would have been swung back and forth to churn the butter. See this website for more information http://dairyantiques.com/Wood_Butter_Churns_1.html
