Starch for material that won’t yellow?

    I am seeking the collective wisdom of the group. I work for a congregation of women religious and we are in the process of re-creating the habit the sisters wore in 1958. Part of this habit included a quilled, starched piece of material that framed the face. It also included a heavily starched “box” as the hood. Pictures of this habit can be viewed here:

    My question is: Is there any type of starch for clothing that will not eventually yellow? If so, where can I get it and how should i apply it?
