Our museum has several enamel pieces that we need to mark with a permanent marking in order to designate them as “use” or interpretation pieces. Does anyone have recommendations on how to permanently mark these? We can’t use permanent marker because some of these items will be used in food preparation. My first thought is etching, but I’m unsure if this will chip the enamel.
