Welcome to Connecting to Collections Care › Forums › Group Forums › C2C Community Archives – 2012 through 2014 › Happy MayDay
On behalf of everyone here at Heritage Preservation, we wanted to wish you all a happy MayDay. Every year, we encourage libraries, museums, archives, historical societies, and preservation organizations to set aside time to participate in MayDay, a global effort to encourage cultural institutions to do one thing to better prepare for emergencies.
Let us know what your institution has planned for MayDay! Any cultural institution submitting a brief description of its 2013 MayDay plans or accomplishments by May 31, 2013, will be entered in a drawing for disaster supplies. Last year, participants held fire safety sessions, inventoried emergency supply kits, and created and updated disaster plans.
In honor of MayDay, Heritage Preservation has also added segments from the Field Guide to Emergency Reponse DVD to its YouTube channel.
