Hello everyone!
Volunteers prior to me cataloged the object collection, but never filled out data fields dealing with appraisal value or insurance. I’d like to insure the collection, but need to arrive at a price to quote my insurance provider. Only a few objects that would fit into typical art or collectors categories – the rest are valuable because of their evidential value.
I’ve heard of collection managers arriving at an overall cost for the entire collection, but I don’t know how that is done. I’d like to know about overall “rider” pricing, as well as individual pricing – do I really need to go to an expert/collector in every category of artifact that I have?
Thank you for your help with this!
