We have a book that is very important to the history of our town that is in need of some TLC.
Could anyone recommend a book conservator in Massachusetts?
Go to http://www.conservation-us.org That is the web site for our professional organization. You will see an option for “find a conservator”. From there you will be able to search by geographic region and specialty. Good luck!
Wendy,
I will recommend you to contact the Northeast Document Conservation Center that is an independent conservation laboratory in MA.

Hope this information will be helpful.

Here’s one in Easthampton: http://www.thebookconservator.com/
Wendy, hi. Perhaps try Daniel Gehnrich in the Worcester area. He is a paper conservator and bookbinder of fine books, and comes highly recommended. We are having him come look at some of our important books and paper documents.
