Here at the Yellowstone Gateway Museum we are going to begin the installation of an HVAC system to control heat/cooling and humidity. This 1910 school house has served as a museum since 1977 with out any heat or humidity control outside of our office area. 34 years of freeze and thaw has not been good on the collections. We will all so be adding interior walls with insulation behind them, closing off the windows as well to cut out the UV that has been streaming in. Although this project has been touted around town as a way to have the museum open more during the year, it has been closed in the winter, the protection of collections has been the museum staffs prime concern.
