Heritage Preservation, AASLH, and IMLS welcome you to the C2C Online Community. We hope that it will continue to help connect museums, libraries, archives, and historical societies with reliable preservation information. Check out the Topics menu for links to online resources. What specific issues would you like to see covered on this site?
June 6, 2011 at 4:37 pm #2842Thank you so much for providing this wonderful service. As coordinator of a small site I truly appreciate the access to reliable information and the opportunity to connect with our museums’ greatest resource — the knowledgeable, experienced and innovative PEOPLE who take care of things behind the scenes!
June 6, 2011 at 9:34 pm #2843Thanks Leigh Ann,
Are there any issues that your site seems to deal frequently that we could feature? Upcoming features will include storage of photographic materials and care of silver objects and we are considering also addressing textile handling and pest management, but we are open to ideas! KristenJune 7, 2011 at 8:22 pm #2844This is a great way for those that have Connecting to Collections grants, or are planning on applying for one, to connect and share information. Thank you for developing this site for sharing ideas and concepts.

June 8, 2011 at 2:46 pm #2846Great to have this resource as the Illinois team begins our implementation grant!
June 8, 2011 at 7:21 pm #2847Wonderful resource those of us working on state implementation grants and for everyone else as well!
June 10, 2011 at 4:20 pm #2848Does anyone have the information handy on how many implementation grants are currently in progress, and what the focus of those grants are? How many relate to Libraries, Archives, Museums or combined programs?
June 10, 2011 at 6:47 pm #2849Hi Glenn,
You can see a listing of the 2010 and 2011 Connecting to Collections Statewide Implementation Grants, including descriptions of the projects and a contact person at:
2011 http://www.imls.gov/news/2011/042811_list.shtm
2010 (mixed in with Statewide Planning Grants) http://www.imls.gov/news/2010/040910_list.shtmTen projects have been funded so far. The program funding can be up to two years, so I believe many of these projects are still active. Does this help?
